Nickolas H. Lambrou, PhD, is a staff scientist with the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center as part of Dr. Carey E. Gleason’s lab on improving diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and dementia for all individuals including women, African Americans, Native Americans, and other groups traditionally under-represented in research. His research endeavors address relationships between identity development, stress and resilience, social determinants of health, and cognition across the lifespan within underserved populations. Nick’s current research with Rainbows of Aging works to better understand the risk and needs of transgender adults living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
